Denise L. Tumblin, Certified Public Accountant Management and Valuation Consultant Director of Valuation and Consulting Services
"Really listening to the concerns and goals of our clients is the most important step in helping develop their business plan."
Joining Wutchiett Tumblin and Associates in 1993 allowed me to merge my business skills, my farm background, and my personal interest in companion, equine, and food animals. I became Cynthia's partner in 2001 because my work here is a joy, and because we have our priorities straight - number crunching is secondary to the needs of the people and pets. Every day I'm privileged to work with talented, compassionate people with a unified purpose: to identify our clients' challenges and opportunities, and to apply our analytical skills and industry knowledge to create a plan that achieves their specific goals.

In addition to consulting with clients on both management and valuation issues, I speak regularly at national, regional, and state association meetings, author articles for national publications, including Veterinary Economics and Trends magazines, and I direct the annual Study of the Well-Managed Practice. I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, The Association of Veterinary Practice Management Consultants and Advisors where I serve on the Valuation Committee, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the American Animal Hospital Association, and the Capital Area Humane Society.
On a more personal note: I share my home with three lovable felines. Tessie has lived with me for 17 years, and in 2003 I expanded our family by adopting two rescue kittens, Maddie and Eddie. The latest addition is Daisy, a beagle/brittany spaniel puppy - also a rescue. Some days the kitties hope Daisy leaves as quickly as she arrived, but all are adapting!
Outdoor activities, especially marathon running, hiking, horseback riding, and gardening fill my leisure time, along with reading, and playing the piano. |
